Fit 'N' Well Mommy

Being a mommy doesn't always mean sacrifice

Hiking in the Monteverde Cloud Forest in Costa Rica!

When it comes to priorities, family is the most important thing in my life, followed by friends, faith and my health. I cherish the time I spend with my husband and son, as well as my parents, brother, niece and sister-in-law, because you never know when it will be the last time you see them. After my brother, Chris, passed away in a freak accident 14 years ago, it completely changed the way I view life. Everything was fine until that awful day turned everything upside down (literally). Our family had always been close, but after Chris’s accident, we became even closer, savoring each and every moment and making sure to tell each other that we love them (on the phone, when we say goodbye in-person, etc). Life is too short to get stressed out over the small things and too busy to appreciate what is around you. You can’t go back in time, but you can make a difference now and start living in the moment and cherishing the people in your life. My favorite quote–and one Chris lived by–is “Live life to the fullest; every, every minute!”

For this page, I’ll post anything pertaining to family and about my own family, our adventures together, quirks and maybe some goodhearted quarrels. Enjoy!

Snorkeling in Maui and Keenan loved it!
