Fit 'N' Well Mommy

Being a mommy doesn't always mean sacrifice

About Me September 20, 2011

Being a new mommy isn’t the only thing I enjoy: I have a passion for health, fitness and good food made simply. I’m a Wellness Coach, Certified Personal Trainer and CrossFit Level 1 Trainer. I love to cook, and better yet, share a good meal and bottle of wine with family and friends. I have worked in the corporate world as a Health Educator and Manager of Employee Work-site Wellness for several years prior to my son being born. During my pregnancy, I continued to pursue my passion to be in the best shape possible for the birth of my baby by working out daily (who says a pregnant woman can’t do squats with a loaded barbell?), eating healthy and taking the Bradley Method. I wanted to ensure a healthy delivery and speedy recovery, so I could be a fit mommy (fitting into my skinny jeans, again!) and healthy role model for my son.

After the birth of my son, I realized that life is too precious to let it pass by without doing something you love. I went back to work for 6 months and finally made the decision (after many discussions with my husband) to resign and do what I enjoy, while being able to spend time with my son. I started this blog, as well as pursuing my own business of wellness coaching and personal training. I love helping others, especially new moms, and seeing the joy and confidence that they receive from obtaining their goals. It is my goal to share my experiences of being a new mom, staying fit and giving my child the best nutritional start as possible, as well as my knowledge and passion to ultimately help you become a Fit ‘n’ Well Mommy, too!
